Guide to Job Rewards, Pay Rates and Bonuses. The Sims 4 features Careers like all other games in the franchise. Your Sim will go to work on average 4-5 times per week and earn an hourly wage. Getting promotions earns you rewards, more money, and steepens the requirements for further advancement. The Sims 3 Nanny Mod. I was wondering if there was a mod that created a nanny similar to one in Ts2. One that only requires the Base game. Couldnt find anything when I did a google search so I am hoping you guys might know. About careers press advertise blog. Using Reddit.

edited August 2012I'd actually like to see some of the current careers tweaked to be more interesting. An example would be the Private Investigator career. When I got Ambitions I really liked the idea of a PI career but the cases they get to do are pretty lame.'People really love to explore 'failure states. In fact, the failure states are really much more interesting than the success states.' ~ Will Wright

edited August 2012I'd like to see some lower wage careers that are playable like waitress. Maybe pizza delivery, newspaper delivery after school for kids, etc...

edited August 2012A Baking branch of the culinary career
Smithing (both skill and career)
Jeweler ( both a skill and career )
jeweler and smithing skills would allow your sim to USE COLLECTIBLES -

edited August 2012definitely good ideas, we need to use the junkyard and collectables more. and i guess the cooking profession could be like waiting at first but they should add like part time positions to all full time ones

Agreed. What would also be cool would be if there was a way to set level caps for some careers so there are some mid level sims. Most people realistically don't get to the top of their career path.0 -
edited August 2012I think that they could add this for seasons, but I'm doubtful because they're doing the live chat and all in two days so.
But maybe a proffesion as a news channel or so, instead of just going to work at the Journalism office. I'd like to see more of the jobs to have at home work something to do. Like the medical career path now has sessions where the doctor gives shots. And maybe a real estate job
Waitress/Waitor is a must have. Also being able to have your sim be a babysitter/newspaper deliver/repair man(woman) jobs that you see other sims doing, but you can't get the job. I'd really love to have modeling, and maybe the Leader of the Free World in the Political career could have to make decisions instead of walking in and out of work. -
edited August 2012Football and Basketball careers. I am aware or the general Athlete career.
-
edited August 2012Yes there needs to be more careers. Some that I can think of is oceanographer, arceologist, gemologist, weatherman/weather woman, tv reporter, surfing instructor, vetrinarian, psychologist, astronomer.
Well that's all I can think of at the moment.Nobody does it better, Steve Jobs you simply are the best RIP 10-5-11 -
edited August 2012I vote for a dentist career path. Everytime you eat, your teeth get dirtier. Either brush them or go to the dentist.
-
edited August 2012Yes, I think that there should be more careers branching of one career,
EX you join the medical career, then you have a choice if you'd like to be a dentist, or a general doctor, and when you get to level ten, the choice to be an arm doctor, children's doctor, leg doctor, ect for dentist as well
Same with athletic, football, and basketball, baseball, softball, ect
Also maybe a fashion career and more things off the cooking career.
I really want to see more at home work though with careers -

I love the Smithing idea to use up metals and possibly gems to get awesome new items for the home. Great idea C.F!!! I love to collect things but one I've decorated my garden with gems they just end up sat in a treasure chest.
I like crafts so I'd love some crafty careers.
I miss the sewing workbench from the sims 2, which could tie in with a fashion/modelling career (which I loved too). -
edited August 2012I would like to see the Daycare profession utilised more. Instead of calling a babysitter to come to your house while you're at work, drop the child off at the home of the person in the Daycare profession. That way the teenager won't miss a day of school.
Or even expanding the Daycare profession so that instead of having people's children at your house, there could be a Nanny option, where you go to somebody's house and look after their child, play with their toys etc, etc. -
edited August 2012Oh! And, while I'm thinking about careers, have the sims able to join the bouncer, musician, mixologist ones in Late Night. I'd love to have my vampire mixologist work at the Vampire bar rather than just moonlighting there.

I love this idea, I was thinking this when I saw Maid & Butler but no Nanny. Just seems like that should be a career, maybe even a playable one. -
edited August 2012I think that we could be midwife and that we could see the births(their will be the little cases so that we couldn't see)!!!We go in the hospital or we call one at home(in that case, they bring every thing that is needed)and we can see the birth of the baby or the babies(so it brings the midwife career). It would be so cool and more realistic. But I would desire vet to.It would be awsome to also have a pet trainer.

edited August 2012CIRCUS CAREER! I want to turn my sims into clowns
-
edited August 2012I really think some more careers are needed, AS WELL AS THE OPTION TO HAVE UNEMPLOYED AS A CAREER! I'm tired of my sims who I want unemployed filling up job gaps... I know there is a mod that does this on MTS3, but I like to play my game Mod-Free.
I know Supernatural has the Fortune Teller career, which looks awesome, but I'm passing on that EP. So far, it seems no new careers for Seasons (although so excited about that) will be placed.
What kind of Jobs would you guys like to see appear before Sims 3 ends? I was really hoping for a veterinary career in Pets, but that didn't happen. They should also bring back Law careers and maybe modeling? Hmm. What do you think?
Basically as many of the TS2 careers possible like:
Show Biz -- for the LN Plumbob lot or Theater
Architect -- city hall
PC gamer/Software dev -- biz center
Oceanographer -- sci center
Law -- city hall
Ballerina -- theater
New Careers. Some of these already exist as mods, so they're completey possible in a vanilla game
Vet -- Pets Equestrian center or hospital so base game users without Pets can play this. This should be a partial rabbit hole game where Sim Vets get to do animal clinics like the medicine career.
Astronomy -- sci center. This one's a no brainer and should have come with base game
Investment Banking & Accounting -- biz center
Pharmacy, Psychiatry, & Psychology -- Hospital
Professional Dancer -- This could be a cool partial rabbit hole career like the medical career. Sims work in the theater rabbit hole, but get opportunities to do street dancing around town (like after they reach lvl 7). They would get opportunities to show off breakdancing moves at community lots or lots with ST career venues.
Open ended careers/has open hours and not rabbithole based similar to AMB skill based careers
Pet trainer -- sim goes around neighborhood, introduces themselves to neighbors and trains their pets. But need to know neighbors well enough first.
Groundskeeper -- sim goes around neighborhood introduces themselves to neighbors, and does their gardening, weedin, planting trees etc. (mowing the lawn would've been great for seasons though).
TS2 Freetime hobby careers like mechanic. Yes sims can only teleport into cars. But why cant they restore or build one from scratch like from that junk car in the AMB junkyard? :? This would be great hobby and money maker for vechicle enthusiast trait sims. Especially since we have FL SP :?
Other TS2 Freetime hobby careers like flower making, pottery, electronic/toy bench etc.

edited August 2012Dog Groomer with Dog Walker as the low level or a part-time job for kids. Animal Trainer and Veterinary careers. Oceanographer, and dolphins should be added to the pets expansion made available through the Sims 3 store.
-
edited August 2012With Seasons, new career - Bee Charmer. Sims can buy honey and use them in elixers, etc. Farming careers should also be added. The farming track could be positive and negative. Bee Charmers could have bees as pets and the bee interactions could be positive and negative. This would also give new options to the hospital and medical careers.

edited August 2012I miss pottery and flower arranging from TS2. I would also like modelling too, it would be awesome.
-
edited August 2012I like everything that's been suggested so far.
Some of my ideas:
Travel agent
Teacher
Mechanic
Telemarketer
